Iran’s national futsal team, with a 4–1 victory over Tajikistan and a total of 5 points, advanced to the semifinals of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games as the second team in the group after Morocco. Afghanistan, with 4 points and third place in Group B, was eliminated from the tournament following their loss to Morocco.

The Islamic Solidarity Games are a multi-sport event among member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, first held in 2005 in Saudi Arabia. The games are usually held every four years and feature various sports, including football, futsal, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and others.
